A Northern Beaches woman says she’s feeling ‘numb’ after answering her phone to news she’s suddenly $200,000 richer.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1257, drawn Monday 25 March 2019.
The woman had no idea of her windfall when she received a phone call from NSW Lotteries officials this afternoon.
“I won how much, $200,000?” she questioned.
“This isn’t a trick or something? I’ve won 200,000 bloody bucks?
“Isn’t that wonderful! Bless your heart. Thank you so much!
“I feel numb!”
The generous winner said she’d been playing Lucky Lotteries regularly and knew exactly how she’d use her unexpected prize.
“I will help out my family,” she promised.
“I will give generously to my favourite charity and the rest we will use to enjoy for ourselves.
“My husband and I both love train travel so we might take a lovely train trip around Europe.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry of one random number at North Curl Curl Newsagency, Shop 5, 142 Pitt Road, North Curl Curl.
North Curl Curl Newsagency owner Wei Dai said his store has been on a winning streak.
“We’ve had so many big wins here lately. Our customers keep telling us we’re a lucky store,” he said.
“Every time we sell a winning entry we still get so excited for our customer.
“It always brings so many new customers in as well.
“Congratulations to our winner and we wish her all the best!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $50.68 million for draw 1258 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.27 million for draw 10279.
