A Northgate woman has bagged more than just milk and bread while out grocery shopping, picking up a $50,000 winning Keno ticket as well.
The winner scored the $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 465, drawn 20 September 2021.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this afternoon, the South Australian woman said she felt like she was walking on air following the exciting discovery.
“This is so crazy!” she laughed.
“I was just out doing the grocery shopping when I had ducked into the newsagency and picked up the Keno ticket.
“When I got home a bit later, I checked it and that’s when I saw I’d won the prize. My first thought was ‘Nah, no way. It can’t be!’.
“So I went and got my partner to check the ticket. He kept saying ‘Is it real? Is it real! This is insane!’.
“I felt utterly shocked. There were a few tears and so much happiness. My heart felt like it was going to burst out of my chest!
“It is just so nice! It will help me a lot.
“This is wonderful! It’s a big surprise. Thank you!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the jubilant winner said she’d already been dreaming up ideas.
“I want a new car and I’d love to go on a bit of a road trip with the family,” she shared.
“We’ll definitely spoil the kids as well.
“I can’t wait until I actually get the money so we can go out to the casino and celebrate.”
The winning entry was purchased at Northgate Newsagency, Shop 7A, Northgate Village Shopping Centre, Folland Avenue, Northgate.
Northgate Newsagency owner Chintan Damani said he hoped to deliver another major prize win to a customer soon.
“It’s such fantastic news,” he said.
“We are really excited! It’s amazing!
