With Powerball offering its biggest jackpot of 2025 to date, many Aussies are dreaming about what they could do with a $100 million prize if they win big tomorrow night.

Up to half of Australian adults are expected to have an entry into Powerball draw 1517 on Thursday 12 June 2025.

The last time Powerball offered a $100 million prize (in November 2024), the peak of sales was at 5.47pm on the day of the draw when 6,415 tickets were sold in a single minute.

If one person takes home the entire $100 million prize, they’ll share the title of Australia’s third-biggest lottery winner ever.

As anticipation builds for Thursday night’s draw, The Lott is celebrating one of its most memorable $100 million Powerball winners — a Queensland woman who took home half of the record-breaking $200 million Powerball draw in February 2024.

Since her extraordinary win, the winning woman has embraced a sea change, relocating from Hawthorne, Brisbane, to a serene coastal home where she enjoys beachside living.

Despite her newfound wealth, she continues to live life as normally as possible, expressing daily gratitude for the blessings that came her way.

“The last year has flown by. It’s hard to believe it’s been one year since my life-changing event. I often speak with my partner about the version of us from last year to now, and if only we knew what was to come!” she told The Lott earlier this year.

“On a day-to-day basis, not a huge amount has changed. I still get up for the 6am gym session and the dog still needs to be walked and fed. The longer-term vision we have for our life is slowly coming together.

“We have purchased a place near the ocean on the coast and continue to create lifelong memories with our beautiful family and friends.

“Our local community will be a big focus for 2025. Each day, we’re deeply grateful, and we often speak of that day. I will always be thankful to dad for answering my early morning call on that Friday! I am sure there will be some champagne to celebrate the one-year milestone.”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said the winning woman was a part of an exclusive group of six Australians who know what it’s like to win a Powerball prize of $100 million or more — a club that could soon welcome a new member this Thursday night.

“From quiet country towns to bustling city streets, we’ve seen life-changing wins happen to anyone in the most unexpected places. That’s the beauty of Powerball,” she said.

“The next chapter of someone’s life could begin this Thursday with $100 million up for grabs. The win could happen to anyone, a teacher, a tradie, a retiree, or a parent.

“Australia’s biggest lottery winner was an ordinary Adelaide man who scored $150 million in 2024. He told us that when he discovered his multi-million-dollar windfall, he never screamed so loud or jumped so high.”

“All our $100 million Powerball winners all had varied plans for their prizes, but there are some beautiful common themes – taking long-overdue holidays across Australia and the globe, heartfelt generosity toward loved ones and causes close to their hearts, and a renewed sense of joy and purpose.

“The $100 million club is growing, and maybe we’ll welcome a new member this Thursday.”

Tickets into Powerball draw 1517 on Thursday 12 June 2025 can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
