An Ormiston woman has admitted she would be thinking twice about avoiding unknown phone numbers after realising four days after the draw that The Lott officials were trying to reach her to let her know she’d won $100,000.

The surprised winner scored a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 1st Prize in draw 10434, drawn Monday 4 January 2021 and takes home the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000.

When an official from The Lott finally reached her this morning, the happy winner couldn’t contain her excitement.

“This is a real surprise! I had no idea!” she exclaimed.

“I don’t normally check my tickets online because if I win, they automatically go into my account.

“I saw that I had plenty of missed calls, but I never answer unknown numbers.

“I wish I had answered earlier now!

“I only realised I might have won something when I got a notification email. I told my husband, and he said it would have to be a scam.

“So I thought I’d log into my account before I called your number to check and I couldn’t believe it when I saw it.

“It took me ten minutes to get over the shock.

“I’ve only been playing Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot for a few months. I only buy tickets every now and then.

“I logged on to put a ticket into the big Saturday Gold Lotto draw and then bought an extra couple of Lucky Lotteries tickets because they are only $2.20.

“I’m so glad I did!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her Lucky Lotteries windfall, the happy woman said it would go a long way to helping her and her family.

“We both lost our jobs recently, and it’s been a bit tough,” she explained.

“It will be amazing to have this to fall back on. We’ll put it aside to live on until we can get back on our feet.

“We aren’t able to do anything to celebrate just yet as it is all sinking in.

“We might do something when it hits our bank account!”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
