A Parramatta man has spent most of his weekend in shock after discovering he won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Sydney player held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 3973 on Saturday 17 August 2019, with each entry taking home a division one prize of $989,632.50.
Confirming his win with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the man admitted he’d spent his Sunday dreaming of what he’d do with almost one million dollars.
“Thank you,” he cried with joy.
“I’m so happy. I’m so shocked! Oh my god!
“I found out on Saturday night.
“I checked my ticket on the app. I didn’t think it could be real so I checked my entry over and over again.
“I can’t think straight at the moment. I’m still in shock from it all!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his welcomed windfall, the overwhelmed winner revealed he’d need some time to let the news sink in.
“Once I calm down a little bit I may be able to think more clearly,” he laughed.
“I’m certainly going to think about taking a holiday and maybe even buying a house.
“This has definitely changed my life!”
The happy man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Newsagency on 2, Kiosk 206A, Westfield Shopping Town, Cnr Church Street & Argyle Street, Parramatta.
Newsagency on 2 owner Satya S Giri Chodisetti said he was thrilled his outlet had sold its first division one winning entry since purchasing the store in 2017.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 193 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3973 on Saturday 17 August 2019 were 19, 23, 35, 6, 28 and 24, while the supplementary numbers were 38 and 29.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 3973, three from Victoria and one from New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 239 so far this calendar year, including 68 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
