A Shepparton family has proclaimed their TattsLotto division one win from the weekend’s draw was ‘perfect timing’ as it would allow them to move closer together.

The thrilled private six member syndicate held one of the nine division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3887 on Saturday 20 October 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $443,884.30.

Speaking to a Tatts official this morning, the Shepparton syndicate leader recounted the life-changing moment she discovered her family was a division one winner.

“Oh my goodness! That’s so exciting!” she exclaimed.

“It’s actually a family syndicate between my mum and dad, my two brothers and myself.

“We just started doing it at the beginning of this year. It’s too much for all of us to put a ticket in each every week, but if we all put a couple of bucks in each, we can get a ticket and see if we get something.

“I was actually just on the phone to my mum and she said ‘How are we going with our lotto ticket?’

“I said to her ‘Oh no, nothing this time!’ but then I got off the phone and checked my email.

“I then checked online and thought to myself ‘What! Is this real?’.

“I can’t wait to go and deliver the good news to my family. I just hope they believe me!

“I got myself into a bit of a fluster. I just wanted to clarify it was true but now I know it’s real!”

When asked how she planned to spend her share of the TattsLotto windfall, the happy woman revealed it came at a fortunate time for her family.

“I’ll use it to pay it off my house!” she said instantly.

“My family are actually in the process of moving to be closer to each other, so it will certainly help them with all their moving costs.

“It will set them up when they get to town – it’s perfect timing!”

The family, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased their 12-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

“I like buying online. Everyone can see what wins we’ve had and what tickets we’ve purchased,” she explained.

“It just makes it easier when we don’t all live in the same place!”
