A Port Adelaide man can’t wait to walk into his boss’s office and hand in his resignation after winning $1 million in last night’s Monday Lotto draw.
The happy winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday and Wednesday X Lotto draw 4086, drawn 14 June 2021. He takes home a $1 million prize.
Speaking with an official from The Lott, the South Australian admitted he was in a daze after checking his ticket last night and discovering his million-dollar win.
“I think I know why you are calling, so you can imagine how excited I am right now,” he admitted.
“I checked my online account with The Lott last night and I saw I had all six numbers.
“As soon as I saw it, I started screaming to my partner, ‘I think I’ve won division one!’.
“We haven’t slept a wink since then! My mind is running wild. I am too excited.
“I was so worried that it was an error and I hadn’t won, so you’ve really put me at ease.
“I can’t believe I am a millionaire!
“This is one of the best days of my life. It’s completely life-changing!
“I called all of my family last night and told them and they were blown away. This is amazing.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the Adelaide man explained he had one thing in mind.
“I am going to retire straight away,” he laughed.
“To be able to retire years earlier than I ever planned is just incredible.
“I can’t wait to tell my boss!”
The ecstatic player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 18-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4086 on Monday 14 June 2021 were 1, 11, 36, 40, 9 and 23, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 35.
