Quest to find Quakers Hill mystery Powerball winner begins. Check your tickets, Sydney, have you won $4 million?

Officials from The Lott have begun their quest to find Australia’s latest multimillionaire who won an incredible $4 million in last night’s Powerball draw.

There was only one division one winning entry nationally in Powerball draw 1358, drawn 26 May 2022. The division one winner will take home $4,662,076.38.

However, the winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner. Instead, they’re waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and make contact.

The New South Wales winning entry was purchased at Quakers Hill Newsagency, 4A Douglas Road, Quakers Hill.

Quakers Hill Newsagency owner Sumit Kumar said he was “blown away” knowing he was part of fulfilling someone’s dreams.

“I was in bed this morning when I realised we’d sold a division one winning entry and got up so quickly to celebrate that I dropped my cup of tea!” he proclaimed.

“It’s such an exciting moment for us and for the amazing winner.

“There will be a great deal of excitement around the store today. We’ve already had a number of customers return to check their tickets in hope it might be them.

“I feel like Santa today! It’s such a gift to do something that delivers such incredible happiness to someone.

“I can’t wait for the winner to come forward and hope that all their dreams come true. We are so happy for them!”

The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said he was looking forward to breaking the life-changing news to the mystery player.

“What an amazing way to walk into the weekend, with an extra $4 million heading your way!” he said.

“Imagine the way your life could change and the things you could do. The world is literally at your fingertips.

“We’re urging all Quakers Hill players to check their tickets. If you discover you’re the multimillionaire we’re searching for, call 131 868 to claim your prize.”

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1358 on Thursday 26 May 2022 were 16, 19, 21, 33, 25, 13, 10. The all-important Powerball number was 18.

Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1358 – the entry from New South Wales.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 180 so far this calendar year, including 53 won by NSW Lotteries customers.

In 2021, 14 Powerball division one winners across Australia pocketed more than $550.1 million in prize money.

During this time, Powerball offered an $80 million jackpot three times – the biggest prize offered by any Australian lottery game during the year.

Of the 14 Powerball division one winning entries in 2021, seven landed in New South Wales, four in Queensland, two in Victoria and one in Western Australia.
