Whoever takes home the record Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize of more than $70 million will not only become an immediate multi-millionaire, but also becomes the nation’s second biggest individual lottery winner.

This year, Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot has continued to smash records, and today the jackpot prize reached the highest level in the game’s 88-year history.

As there is no sharing of prizes with Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot, the next jackpot prize winner will pocket the entire prize and enter Australian lottery history books as one of the biggest individual lottery winners.

The current record for the biggest Australian lottery winner was set in January this year when a Sydney woman scored an eye-popping $107.5 million Powerball prize.

As Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draws were now occurring daily, the Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said the jackpot winner could be crowned at any time.

“Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot is continuing to capture the attention of Australians who are dreaming of what life would be like if they got their paws on the $70 million prize!” he said.

“Lucky Lotteries is unique as it is a raffle-style game with a set amount of numbers in each draw. Once those numbers have been sold, the draw takes place.

“As the jackpot has continued to climb, we’ve seen increasing interest in Lucky Lotteries, prompting individual draws to sell out within 24 hours. In fact, on some days we have multiple draws as more and more Aussies vie for the chance to land that record prize.

“While we don’t know when the jackpot will be won, what we do know is that whoever wins it will take the whole lot and enter Australian lottery history books.”

The current Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot record is held by a woman from Sydney’s northern suburbs. In 2011 she won a whopping $38,185,000.

While the jackpot has climbed higher after each Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw, it has delivered a guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 to one player in every draw.

So far this year, there have been 149 Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draws – almost one a day – that have delivered $29.8 million in 1st Prizes to winners.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $70.12 million for draw 1339 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.41 million for draw 10292.
