A Renmark shopper has had a kick start to the week after discovering they won over $2.8 million in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto $20 million Superdraw.
The Renmark resident or visitor held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 3977, drawn on Saturday 31 August 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $2,857,142.86.
However how the mystery winner plans to enjoy their windfall will forever remain a secret as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was sold at Renmark Plaza Newsagency, Shop 12 Renmark Plaza Shopping Centre, Stuart Highway Renmark.
Renmark Plaza Newsagency Jane Evans said she was thrilled another one of her customers had scored a major prize.
“This is the second time we’ve sold a major prize this year!” she exclaimed.
“The last was a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket worth $150,000 which was scratched by a customer in May.
“Now we’ve sold this major prize – we are hoping to sell a third this year to make it a hattrick.
“We’ll be celebrating in store with our customers this week.
“Congratulations to our winner! We wish them the best with their windfall.”
In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Monday & Wednesday X Lotto and Saturday X Lotto created 193 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3977 on Saturday 31 August 2019 were 36, 41, 15, 17, 14 and 7, while the supplementary numbers were 24 and 20.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 3977, two from New South Wales and Victoria and one each from Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 251 so far this calendar year, including 22 won by South Australia customers.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, there were 244 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $286.6 million.
