A Richmond woman has had her morning commute to work interrupted, discovering she won $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1414, drawn Monday 5 August 2019.
Confirming her win with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the woman revealed she had just checked her ticket and discovered her prize.
“I found out just now,” she explained.
“I am on the train, on my way to work, and I had some spare time, so I thought I’d check my ticket and that’s when I saw I’d won.
“I am shocked!
“I am feeling really happy about it.
“I am a bit overwhelmed to be honest but it’s a big relief.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the hardworking woman shared she’d put it towards her mortgage.
“I am not 100% sure what I will do with it because I’ve only just found out I won, so I need some time to think,” she laughed.
“I will put it towards my mortgage and might leave a bit to have some fun with.”
The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her entry at Richmond Marketplace Newsagency, Shop 42, Richmond Marketplace, 78 March Street, Richmond.
Richmond Marketplace Newsagency sales assistant Ryan Prangnell said the outlet was celebrating making one of their customers $200,000 richer.
“It was quite surprising when it came up on the terminal,” he said.
“We are very excited about it and we are telling all of our customers.
“We are glad the winner has come forward and wish her all the best with her prize.
“This is our second Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize we have sold this year, hopefully we sell another this year and make it a hat trick.”
