A Richmond woman has confessed she doesn’t know how she chose the numbers on her Saturday Lotto ticket, but she’s glad she kept playing them after they scored her $250,000 in the weekend’s draw.
The Hawkesbury region player held one of the 20 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4565, drawn Saturday 19 April 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $255,096.86.
The winner was oblivious to her good fortune until an official from The Lott reached out to her with the winning news.
“Wow! Oh my gosh!” she exclaimed.
“That’s amazing!
“I’ve been busy with Easter, so I hadn’t got around to checking my ticket.
“That is so incredible. I’m gobsmacked!
“When I saw a number calling me from Queensland, I ignored it. But then I saw it was from The Lott!
“Those numbers were kind of random. I started playing them about 10 or 15 years ago. I have to say I don’t think there was a pattern. I’m glad I kept playing them.
“I’m so surprised by the news.
“I never thought I’d win! This is just fantastic for Easter!”
The woman’s winning marked 10-game entry was purchased at Richmond Marketplace Newsagency, Shop 42, Richmond Marketplace, 78 March Street, Richmond.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4565 on 19 April 2025 were 28, 10, 44, 21, 19 and 14, while the supplementary numbers were 33 and 23.
Across Australia, there were 20 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4565 – six in Queensland, five in Victoria, two each in New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia and one in the Northern Territory.
