A Taree resident or visitor is soaring into the festive season $200,000 richer after landing a 1st Prize win in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw – though they might not realise it yet.

The elusive winner held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1744, drawn Thursday 18 December 2025. They can look forward to a $200,000 prize.

Although the 1st Prize winning entry was registered to The Lott Members Club, officials from The Lott were unable to reach the winner on the details provided to deliver the life-enhancing news.

The winning entry was purchased at Taree West Newsagency, 142 Commerce Street, Taree.

Taree West Newsagency owner Priya shared it was heart-warming to discover her outlet had sold a winning entry worth $200,000 at such a magical time of year.

“I was filled with pure joy to discover we’d sold a 1st Prize winning entry so close to Christmas!” she said.

“It’s truly a heart-warming moment which we’ll cherish for years to come. It’s such a beautiful gift for our community at the most special time of year.

“It’s such an honour to play a small part in a life-changing win for one of our customers. We’re so grateful for the continued support of our incredible community.

“This marks our second time selling a 1st Prize winning entry in a Lucky Lotteries draw. It’s truly an exciting milestone.

“Many congratulations to our lucky winner! We’re all so thrilled for you and wish you all the happiness and joy. Best wishes from everyone at Taree West Newsagency.”

The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said she was eagerly waiting to speak with the region’s latest major prize winner and hoped they checked their ticket soon.

“I was ready to call and reveal the life-enhancing news to region’s major prize winner, but sadly the player doesn’t have current contact details available,” she said.

“We’re encouraging anyone who purchased an entry into the recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot ticket from Taree West Newsagency to check their tickets, because you may just be the winner we’re searching for!

“Make sure you check your tickets, Taree! If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the exciting prize claim process.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $19.12 million for draw 1745, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $2.19 million for draw 11053.

In FY25, 182 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winning entries across Australia won more than $20.5 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
