A forgotten lottery ticket was tucked inside an Ingleburn man’s wallet for 72 days before he cleaned it out and made the heart-stopping discovery it was worth $100,000.
The Macarthur resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11066, drawn Monday 30 March 2026 and scored $100,000.
The winning entry wasn’t registered to The Lott Members Club, which meant lottery officials had no way to contact the ticketholder and had to wait for him to check his ticket and come forward.
Speaking to an official from The Lott 72 days after the draw, the joyful winner was bursting with excitement, detailing the moment he cleaned out his wallet and unearthed the winning ticket.
“I’m very happy now,” he cheered.
“It’s a great feeling. It’s going to help us quite a bit.
“I only just found the ticket the other day after my wife gifted me a new wallet.
“She told me to clean out my old one and that’s where the ticket had been sitting this entire time. We now call my new wallet the lucky wallet.
“I had no idea what to expect. I wasn’t sure what to believe.
“I’ve been sleeping with the ticket beside me ever since. I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose it.”
Still coming to terms with his prize months after his win, he confessed the first thing on his to-do list was to kick his feet up and relax.
“Now that I know it’s real, I can relax and dream,” he laughed.
“Cutting back on work will be a priority, but I need to wait for it to sink in to think clearly.”
His winning entry was purchased at Ingleburn Fair Newsagency, Shop T17, Ingleburn Village Shopping Centre, 100 Macquarie Road, Ingleburn.
Ingleburn Fair Newsagency owner Mahesh Rabadia said he was so proud to sell another major prize winning ticket to a local customer.
“It’s an amazing feeling knowing we’ve sold a 1st Prize winning Lucky Lotteries ticket. It’s something every outlet dreams of doing,” he said.
“We’ll be celebrating the news within our community by organising a small barbeque.
“Moments like these create a real sense of community, and I think everyone will share in the excitement.
“It was late last year that we sold a 1st Prize winning entry, and we couldn’t be happier to do it again.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.20 million for draw 1786, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $3.62 million for draw 11081.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
