Golden Casket officials are trying to get hold of a Mackay player who won over $1 million in last weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw, who hasn’t answered their phone to hear the life changing news.
The Mackay resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3899, drawn Saturday 1 December 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $1,004,705.27.
Despite the entry being registered to an online account, Golden Casket officials have been unable to get hold of the region’s newest millionaire.
Golden Casket spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she couldn’t wait to break the life-changing news to the winner.
“We’ve tried calling this soon-to-be millionaire multiple over the last couple of days, but they still haven’t answered their phone,” she explained.
“If you’ve had a few missed calls today, you may be the person we’re wanting to speak to.
“While we will continue to try and reach our Mackay winner, it is also a great reminder to all players to keep their contact details up to date so we can always reach you if you win!”
Miss Cooney also encouraged everyone who purchased an entry into the draw to check their ticket.
“If you bought an online entry in last Saturday’s Lotto draw, we urge you to check it now! We may have your million-dollar division one prize waiting for you!
“If you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, contact Golden Casket on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
The winning entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 171 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3899 on Saturday 1 December 2018 were 24, 25, 38, 27, 31 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 20 and 18.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3899 – two in Queensland and one each in South Australia and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 164 so far this financial year, including 40 won by Golden Casket customers.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2018, there were 290 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
