A Ringwood man was soaking up a rare morning sleep-in when he received the exhilarating phone call revealing he’d won a million-dollar prize in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw.
The Melburnian resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4498, drawn Wednesday 22 January 2025. He looks forward to a neat $1 million.
The stunned winner confessed he was peacefully asleep just moments before lottery officials made contact this morning.
“You’ve got to be joking!” the winning man cheered.
“Sorry if I’m a bit groggy, your call just woke me up.
“What great news to wake up to!
“I’m usually up at this time, but I was enjoying a rare sleep-in.
“It’s going to be life-changing for my family.
“I’ve been playing the same marked numbers for the past 30 years. I always had a feeling they’d bring me a win one day.

His winning 6-game marked entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4498 on Wednesday 22 January 2025 were 5, 17, 9, 43, 35, and 22 while the supplementary numbers were 33 and 36.
