Decades of consistency have paid off for a Rouse Hill woman who started trembling the moment she checked her Monday Lotto ticket and realised $1 million was coming her way.
The Sydney resident held one of the three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4062, drawn Monday 22 March 2021 and takes home a division one prize worth $1,000,000.
Confirming her discovery with an official from The Lott this morning, the regular player explained she’d been waiting for this moment for decades.
“Thank you!” she laughed.
“It’s so surreal.
“I’ve been playing these numbers for 40 years – since 1980 when I first started working.
“I’ve kept the same numbers all along. I’ve always won small prizes here and there, and I always knew the big one was coming one day.
“I just checked my ticket online. I started trembling and then my brain froze and I just kept checking the numbers over and over again.
“It hasn’t sunk in yet. I’m so overwhelmed.
“It’s absolutely amazing!”
When asked how she always imagined enjoying a lottery windfall, the new millionaire didn’t hesitate to reveal her plans.
“I’m going to build our dream home,” she declared.
“I’ve always imagined one day being able to do that and we will finally be able to!”
The life-changing marked 10-game entry was purchased at Nextra Rouse Hill, Gr28 Rouse Hill Town Centre, 10-14 Market Lane, Rouse Hill.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4062 on Monday 22 March 2021 were 8, 18, 42, 6, 24 and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 23 and 37.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4062 – one each from New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 315 so far this financial year, including 83 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
