A Whyalla Norrie resident or visitor won $730,000 in the weekend’s X Lotto draw but may be completely unaware they’re a major lottery winner.
The mystery South Australia ticketholder held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4405, drawn Saturday 7 October 2023, and took home $738,668.19.
The winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of notifying the winner of their life-changing news and must wait for them to check their ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at George Avenue Deli, 77 George Avenue, Whyalla Norrie.
George Avenue Deli owner Lorna-Jane Anderson said she was ecstatic to hear one of her customers had won $730,000 in Saturday X Lotto.
“Wow! What wonderful news! We’re so happy to hear we had sold another division one winning entry in Saturday X Lotto,” she said.
“There’s no doubt the local community will be happy to hear another Whyalla Norrie customer has won big with a ticket purchased at our outlet. We will be sharing the winning news with everyone!
“We’ve sold many major lottery prizes in the past two years and in fact, almost a year ago we had sold a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket worth $100,000.
“We hope our division one winner comes and checks their ticket at our outlet very soon. We would like to congratulate them and wish them a lot of enjoyment from their win.”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was eagerly waiting to speak to the mystery Whyalla Norrie winner.
“It’s very likely this winner is oblivious to the fact they became a division one winner on the weekend,” she said.
