A South Gippsland woman said she is still floating on cloud nine after discovering her entry into Saturday’s TattsLotto draw scored her a division one prize of $2 million.
The elated woman held one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4071, drawn Saturday 25 July 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $2 million.
Sharing her excitement with an official from the Lott this afternoon, the happy woman revealed it wasn’t the first time she had experienced this feeling.
“How lovely! It’s unbelievable!” she exclaimed.
“I don’t know how to feel. I haven’t come down off cloud nine yet. I’m still floating around.
“It’s a good feeling. I think I’ll be numb for a little while yet.
“I play TattsLotto every week without fail. I’ve played since TattLotto started!
“This is actually the second time I’ve won a major prize. A few years ago now I won a few hundred thousand in division one.
“I consider myself very lucky. I’m very lucky, indeed.
“I’m going to keep playing. I just love visiting my regular outlet every week, so I’ll be back again, that’s for sure!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her multi-million dollar windfall, the generous woman said she would share it with her family.
“I’ve got a big family so I can’t wait to celebrate and share it with them,” she declared.
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Leongatha Nextra Newsagency, 30 Bair Street, Leongatha.
Leongatha Nextra Newsagency owner Deb Watchorn said the win was fantastic news for her and her team.
“Wow! Such fabulous news during these uncertain times! Someone is going to be so excited!” she exclaimed.
“We’ll be sharing the news with all of our customers today, and we’ve decorated the store with signs, balloons and some sweet treats!
“Our customers will go crazy with excitement, knowing there has been a win in our area!
“We’ve sold four division one winning entries over the past ten years. The last one was in May 2016 when we sold a $40 million Oz Lotto winning entry.
“It’s fantastic selling lottery tickets to our customers every day. It’s great to give them a chance to dream, and when they win, it’s an amazing feeling knowing it will change their lives.
“Congratulations to our winner! We are so pleased she has come forward to claim her prize!”
