Ahead of this weekend’s $20 Million Saturday Lotto Superdraw, The Lott has revealed which star signs took home the most division one wins in the 12 months ending 31 December 2022.
Aussie lottery players have already had a stellar start to 2023 with 42 major prizes won across the nation. But for players still dreaming of scoring a lottery windfall, the latest star sign trends may signal an auspicious year ahead.
Capricorns, born between December 21 and January 20, made up 12.45% of all division one wins in 2022, the most of any star sign (table 1).
Aries players, born between March 21 and April 19, and Aquarius players, born between January 19 and February 18, ranked equal-second for the most division one wins last year (10.90%). While Sagittarius players, born between November 21 and December 21 ranked third (8.95%).
Gemini’s, born between May 21 and June 21, had the fewest wins in their orbit, making up just 4.30% of all division one winners.
The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said it will be interesting to see if the stars continue to align for the Capricorns of Australia hoping to win big in 2023.
“Capricorns are said to be perennial overachievers and make success look effortless, but only time will tell if they continue to attract more good fortune in the coming months,” he said.
“While the stars have favoured our Capricorn, Aries, and Aquarius players in 2022, it was Pisces players that had the most division one wins in 2021.
“It just goes to show, anyone has the chance to be a major lottery winner regardless of their birthdate or star sign.
“We can imagine a Superdraw prize this weekend would certainly help players take control of their own futures.
“Saturday Lotto’s Superdraws are renowned for making the most millionaires and with a huge $20 million division one prize on offer, perhaps we’ll see the start of some new winning trends.

Saturday Lotto's Superdraw, draw 4337, will take place on Saturday 11 February 2023.
