A Newcastle woman was rendered speechless and unsure if she could finish her workday after learning she’d pocketed $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1752, drawn Friday 9 January 2026. She looks forward to a neat $200,000 payday.
“Oh my goodness! Oh wow!” she said after an official from The Lott confirmed her prize.
“Sorry I went mute there for a second. I’m just a bit stunned by it all.
“I need to try and get my thoughts together.
“I was just in between doing some jobs when I saw your attention text message, and I checked my tickets straight away. Now I’m on the phone to you.
“It’s going to boost our travel fund, that’s for sure. There are so many places I want to explore and now we’ll be able to.
“Gosh, it’s going to be hard to work for the rest of the day.
“Thank you so much!”
Her winning entry of four random numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $21.04 million for draw 1753, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $2.58 million for draw 11056.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
