A Sunshine man has come forward to claim his $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 1st Prize nearly a month after the draw, confessing he was ‘too busy’ to check his ticket.

The Victorian player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10310, drawn 5 September 2019.

Speaking with a Tatts official this morning to confirm his win, the Melbourne man explained he’d simply forgotten to check his ticket.

“I’ve been a bit busy over the past few weeks and hadn’t got around to checking the ticket,” he explained.

“You know how it is, it’s one thing after another and life gets in the way.

“It wasn’t until I finally checked it at the newsagency that I realised I’d been carrying a winning ticket around with me the whole time!

“I usually play lottery games every week but lately I haven’t had a chance to go back into the outlet and play them again.

“I’ve never won anything like this before! I can’t believe it!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his $100,000 windfall, the thrilled winner confessed he hadn’t had a chance to think about it.

“I don’t know yet how I’ll spend it, but I know I’ll have a beer or two this afternoon to celebrate!” he laughed.

“I’ll spend it wisely that’s for sure!”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry of two random numbers at Central West Newsagency, Shop 35, Central West Plaza, 67 Ashley Street, Braybrook.

Central West Newsagency owner Gino Bertolini said he was thrilled his outlet had sold a major prize winning entry.

“It feels pretty bloody fantastic to know we’ve made one of our customers $100,000 richer!” he laughed.

“We’ve sold a couple of division one winning entries in the past, but this is our first major prize for a little while so we are thrilled.

“We are really happy for our customer. Couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person and it’s always great when a regular customer wins big!

“We wish him all the best with his prize!”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.20 million for draw 1453 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.92 million for draw 10319.
