A Western Sydney man has been caught off guard at work this morning, with the news he scored division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Sydney Olympic Park resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4001, drawn Saturday 23 November 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $577,792.94.
A NSW Lotteries official contacted the man this morning, who was completely oblivious to his windfall.
“Thank you,” he laughed.
“Thank you so much!
“I had no idea. I can’t believe this.
“This is a miracle. It’s amazing!
“You’ve called me while I’m at work. I came in this morning having no idea.
“This is very cool. I play every week and I’m so happy.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his life-changing prize, the winner explained it had arrived at the perfect time.
“I have no idea at the moment,” he said.
“You’ve really caught me off guard so I’m going to have to think about it but what a perfect time of the year to enjoy it!
“I will probably invest in property.”
The winning entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
