A Taree couple can’t wait to surprise their children with a slice of their recent $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win, making a cherished family dream come true.
The Mid North Coast residents held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1744, drawn Thursday 18 December 2025. They can look forward to a $200,000 prize.
Although their ticket was registered to The Lott Members Club, the winning duo took a little longer than usual to uncover their newfound treasure, as their contact details weren’t up to date.
“You’ve got me all flabbergasted here!” the winning husband exclaimed when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“That’s amazing, innit?
“I only ever check my tickets when I buy my next lot, so I was a couple days late to realising I’d won the big bucks.
“I’m in shock here. I’ve been doing this for many, many years and I’ve never won anything like this.
“We’ve always dreamed big and hoped we’d win one day to share with the kids,” the winning wife added.
“It’s just so exciting for us. Honestly, we’re in a state of total disbelief.”
With $200,000 set to hit their bank account in the coming weeks, the winning couple shared they’d be able to turn their dream of lending a helping hand to their kids into reality.
“We’ll share it with the kids of course!” the gleeful wife said.
“We can’t wait to call and tell them the good news.
“We’re going to have the best Christmas imaginable.”
Their winning entry was purchased at Taree West Newsagency, 142 Commerce Street, Taree.
Taree West Newsagency owner Priya shared it was heart-warming to discover her outlet had sold a winning entry worth $200,000 at such a magical time of year.
“I was filled with pure joy to discover we’d sold a 1st Prize winning entry so close to Christmas!” she said.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $19.36 million for draw 1746, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $2.19 million for draw 11053.
