Five days after the draw, a Woonona East woman has come forward to claim her division one prize in Monday & Wednesday Lotto after discovering the news on her routine shopping trip.

The thrilled winner was the only division one winning entry across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3802 on Monday 24 September 2018, and takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

As the entry was unregistered, NSW Lotteries had no way to contact the winner and had to wait for her to come forward to claim her prize.

When speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon to confirm the win, the Woonona East local revealed she had no idea she was walking around $1 million richer for nearly a week.

“Wahoo!” she exclaimed.

“I put my lotto on every Friday when I do my weekly shopping trip and I went in this morning to put on next weeks and check my tickets.

“That’s when they told me I had won!

“I think I’ve had these numbers for about over 20 years. I’ve been putting them on every week since then.

“I think they were birthday numbers or something like that, but I put them on so long ago I’m not sure.

“I’ve had a couple of $500 wins here and there – but nothing like this!” When asked how the winner planned to spend her windfall, she declared she was still in shock and couldn’t decide on what was next.

“I think I’ll have to take a bit of time to think about it,” she revealed.

“I really don’t know! I’m about to go on holiday but that’s already booked and paid for so maybe well just use that time to think about it and consider what’s next!

“I don’t think my family will believe me when I tell them!”

The winning Wollongong region entry was purchased at East Woonona Newsagency, 30 Park Road, Woonona East.

East Woonona Newsagency also sold a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prize worth $200,000.00 in draw 1134 drawn on Thursday 28 of September 2018. The ticket is also unregistered and so NSW Lotteries officials have to wait for the winner to come forward to claim their prize.

East Woonona Newsagency owner Paul Schmidt said he was thrilled to have sold a division one winning ticket.

“I’ve been here for 11 years and this is our first million-dollar win – it’s fantastic!” he exclaimed.

“I’m so pleased the winner has come forward to claim their prize and they can start their life as a millionaire!

“We wish them all the best and hope it is the first of many more million-dollar-wins for our customers!’

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto have created 136 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3802 on Monday 24 September 2018 were 12, 45, 19, 29, 26 and 30, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 32.

Across Australia there was only one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3802, and it landed in New South Wales.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 295 so far this calendar year, including 80 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
