“They mean the most to us”: Yarrawonga couple to give back to their parents with $2.1 million TattsLotto win

A Yarrawonga couple has admitted to continuously crying tears of joy after discovering their $2.1 million win in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Palmerston residents held one of the 14 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4281, drawn Saturday 30 July 2022 and take home a total division one prize of $2,164,799.55.

The winning entry was unregistered, so officials from The Lott had no way of contacting the winners to reveal the exhilarating news and had to wait for the ticketholders to come forward.

The dynamic duo was left mind-boggled after checking their ticket and discovering they’re newly made TattsLotto multi-millionaires.

“Thank you so much, we can’t believe it,” the winning man proclaimed.

“We’ve cried tears of happiness ever since we found out this morning. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions!

“As soon as we found out, we told our parents straight away.

“Our parents are actually right next to us now. We want to share this moment with them!

“The main priority is to look after them. They mean the most to us.

“Once we’re able to sit down and process it all, we would love to celebrate as a family.

“Thank you for the best phone call!”

Their winning entry was purchased at Paper & Pen, Shop T58 Gateway Shopping Centre, 1 Roystonea Avenue, Yarrawonga.

Paper & Pen team member Rharnia Hewett the team were tremendously happy to have sold a division one winning entry to a local couple.

“Our whole team have been completely over the moon since we found out we sold our first division one winning entry in the weekend’s draw. It feels amazing!” she said.

“We can’t believe someone has walked away with a winning ticket worth $2.1 million from our locally owned store, and we love that we were apart of the winning moment.

“We can just imagine the Palmerston community is stoked for this winning couple whose lives have now changed forever, in the best way possible.

“Congratulations on scoring division one and we wish you all the best with your future endeavours.”

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4281 on 30 August 2022 were 17, 21, 12, 26, 8, 42, while the supplementary numbers were 35 and 13.

Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4281 – three each in New South Wales and Western Australia, two each in Victoria, Tasmania, and Queensland, and one each in South Australia and Northern Territory..

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 269 so far this calendar year, including 112 won by Tatts customers.

In 2021, TattsLotto created 210 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 351 division one winning in TattsLotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $499.8 million.
