“Are you f***ing kidding me!? Jesus Christ!” he exclaimed when the enormity of the prize was revealed.

“Mate, you are the man! This is incredible.

“I am absolutely speechless. We only play from time to time. In fact, we play Powerball very rarely!

“My wife said, ‘why not, let’s buy a ticket in the draw!’.

“I’m so glad we did!

“This has completely changed my family's life in the space of five minutes! I don’t even know where to begin!

“Am I dreaming? I need to pinch myself to make sure this is real.”

The winning man couldn’t wait to give his wife the good news and rushed to tell her their lives had changed forever.

“We can do whatever we want!” he yelled.

“We’ve just won the lottery!”

The Sydney-sider's winning 25-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com - the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
