Three entries have shared tonight’s massive $70 million Oz Lotto prize, but in a surprise twist two of those entries were held by one Melbourne man!

Two entries from Victoria and one from Tasmania won division one in Oz Lotto draw 1310 on Tuesday 26 March 2019. Each entry takes home a mouth-watering division one prize of $23,333,333.34.

Hardworking St Albans man wins division one… twice

Remarkably, the two winning entries from Victoria were registered to the same player – a hardworking St Albans man who was oblivious to his double division one bounty of more than $46.6 million.

When an official from the Lott made the heart-pounding phone call to him this evening, he initially didn’t answer.

After several attempts, the man picked up the phone and revealed he’d just checked the Oz Lotto draw results online.

“You’re kidding!” he exclaimed.

“Am I seeing things?

“I just checked my entry online and I think I know what you’re about to tell me.

“I’m speechless. I can’t believe it.

“I just finished work for the night.”

While the news he had won a division one prize of more than $23.3 million only just started to sink in, he was flabbergasted to realise he had purchased a second entry of exactly the same numbers, thereby winning division one twice.

He explained he’d been playing the same marked numbers for thirty years.

“I play every week. I have always marked my entries but I have never chosen the numbers on anything in particular. They weren’t special before, but they are now,” he laughed.

Amid the whirlwind revelation, the Victorian blue-collar worker said he would need to sit down and think of how he might use his double division one prize.

“I need time for the news to register,” he said.

“I might think about retiring. First maybe a new home or a holiday.

“I’ll definitely share it with my family.”

The man purchased his entries at Winning Lotteries St Albans, 59 Alfrieda Street, St Albans, and Footscray Lottery Centre, Shop 89, Footscray Market, 81 Hopkins Street, Footscray.

Unregistered Hobart entry snares division one

The division one winning Tasmanian entry was unregistered, meaning lottery officials have no way to contact the ticketholder and must wait for them to check their ticket and discover the mind-blowing win for themselves.

The Tasmanian entry was purchased at Hobart City Lotto, Shop 2, Wellington Centre, 40-44 Argyle Street, Hobart.

The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said she urged any Hobart resident or visitor who purchased an entry into this week’s $70 million Oz Lotto draw to check their tickets as soon as possible.

“Imagine discovering you’re a mid-week multi-millionaire!” she exclaimed.

“You may not think it’s possible that you could be the division one winner we’re searching for, but if you purchased an unregistered entry in this week’s Oz Lotto draw that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance!

“We’re urging all Oz Lotto players to check their entries as soon as possible and if you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket to contact us on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

In addition to the three division one prizes in tonight’s Oz Lotto draw, a total of 1,150,318 prizes worth more than $24.64 million were won in divisions two to seven.  This includes 14 division two winners who each landed $49,892.40.

In 2018, there were 20 division one winning Oz Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $253.7 million.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1310 on Tuesday 26 March 2019 were 12, 28, 24, 29, 9, 18 and 25. The supplementary numbers were 13 and 31.

There were three division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1310, two from Victoria and one from Tasmania.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 274 so far this financial year, including 120 won by Tatts customers.
