One mystery Melburnian could happily hop and skip their way into the weekend if they were to check their Powerball ticket and discover their dazzling $4 million windfall in last night’s draw.

The unknown Victorian player held one of the two division one winning entries in last night’s Powerball draw 1434 and has taken home $4 million.

Officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the newly made millionaire with their life-changing news and must wait for the ticketholder to come forward and claim their prize.

The winning entry was purchased at Lilydale Village Lotto & News, Shop 5 Lilydale Village, 343-347 Main Street, Lilydale.

Lilydale Village Lotto & News owner Rakesh Aggarwal said he was thrilled to hear his outlet had a sold a division one winning entry within five months of taking over the business.

“There aren’t enough words for us to express the excitement we’re feeling after helping change someone’s life in last night’s $8 million Powerball draw,” he shared.

“I only entered the lottery business five months ago and my outlet has already sold two division one winning entries – one in Set for Life, and now this division one winning entry in Powerball.

“We’ve started to decorate our store and we’re also sharing the winning news with all of our customers. The community will be overjoyed to hear we’ve sold a multi-million dollar entry.

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was eagerly waiting to confirm the life-changing news and speak to the mystery Lilydale winner.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1434 on Thursday 9 November 2023 were 35, 15, 3, 23, 34, 29 and 30. The all-important Powerball number was 2.

Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Powerball draw 1434 – one each in New South Wales and Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 355 so far in 2023, including 116 won by Tatts customers.

In FY23, 21 Powerball division one winning entries across Australia pocketed more than $647.26 million in prize money.

During this time, Powerball offered a $160 million jackpot – the biggest prize ever offered by any Australian lottery game – that was won by three division one winning entries.

Of the 21 Powerball division one winning entries in FY23, 11 landed in New South Wales, three each in Victoria and South Australia, and two each in Queensland and Western Australia.
