“Yes! Thank you so much!” the man screamed after speaking to an official from The Lott and realising his good fortune.

“I thought someone was trying to scam me. But I’ve checked the ticket myself and can see I’ve won!

“Now I’ve got no mortgage! Straight away, I’m going to pay off the mortgage, then… freedom!

“I picked these numbers a while ago and just stuck with them. I’ve been playing for a very long time.

“I’m going to celebrate today! I can’t believe it! Ha-ha, I might even retire!”

His winning marked System 9 entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
