After initially rejecting calls from lottery officials attempting to confirm his TattsLotto windfall, a Craigieburn man has finally discovered the enormity of his division one prize and erupted into immediate celebrations.

The Victorian held one of the nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4353, drawn Saturday 8 April 2023. Each division one winning entry scored $582,463.60.

“Yes! Thank you so much!” the man screamed after speaking to an official from The Lott and realising his good fortune.

“I thought someone was trying to scam me. But I’ve checked the ticket myself and can see I’ve won!

“Now I’ve got no mortgage! Straight away, I’m going to pay off the mortgage, then… freedom!

“I picked these numbers a while ago and just stuck with them. I’ve been playing for a very long time.

“I’m going to celebrate today! I can’t believe it! Ha-ha, I might even retire!”

His winning marked System 9 entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4353 on 8 April 2023 were 9, 40, 13, 11, 6 and 4, while the supplementary numbers were 20 and 18.

Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4353 – three in Victoria and Western Australia, two in New South Wales, and one in Queensland.
