A Toowoomba shopper is starting the working week more than $4 million richer from the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw – but they may not know it!
The Toowoomba entry was the only division one winning entry across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3883 on 6 October 2018. The entry takes home the entire division one prize pool of $4,020,291.14.
As the entry isn’t registered to a Winners Circle card, Golden Casket officials have no way to contact the ticketholder with the life-changing news.
It’s the third time during the past month a single entry has won the entire Saturday Gold Lotto division one prize pool. It’s also the 300th division one winning entry so far this year across the Lott’s jurisdictions.
So far in 2018, seven major lottery prizes worth more than $11.34 million have been won by Darling Downs players.
Last week, a Toowoomba woman scored a $2.32 million Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize. She plans to live life to the fullest, starting with having her teeth fixed.
The latest winning entry was purchased at North Point News, Shop 2, Northpoint Shopping Centre, 121-131 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba.
North Point News owner Mark Stevenson said he was over the moon his outlet had sold a division one winning ticket – the first since it opened in 2014.
“It’s great news! We thought we were about due for a win, but to take the full lot is fantastic,” he said.
“We’re just waiting for the happy person to wander on in and discover the news for themselves.”
Golden Casket spokesperson Matt Hart said Toowoomba’s latest division one winner could be walking around with the winning ticket in their pocket and not even know it.
“Instead of getting down to work on a Monday, our Toowoomba winner could be living it up and thinking about what they might do with more than $4 million,” he said.
“You may not think it’s possible that you could be the division one winner we’re searching for, but if you purchased an unregistered entry in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance!
“We’re urging all Saturday Gold Lotto players to check their entries as soon as possible and if you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, to contact Golden Casket on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
Mr Hart also reminded players of the importance of keeping their contact details up to date.
“It is really important that you keep your contact details up to date when registering with a Winners Circle card so we can contact you directly with the good news in the case of a win!”
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 143 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3883 on Saturday 6 October 2018 were 7, 34, 1, 22, 40 and 2, while the supplementary numbers were 15 and 26.
Across Australia there was only one division one winning entry in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3883.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 300 so far this calendar year, including 68 won by Golden Casket customers.
Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
