A Toowoomba man who says he’s been going through a rough time lately has found a new way to cheer himself up – thanks to a $200,000 Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot win.
The Queensland winner scored the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1535, drawn Wednesday 2 June 2021.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this afternoon, the jubilant winner said he was still coming to terms with his win.
“I literally just checked my ticket and found out I won!” he laughed.
“I can’t believe it!
“The first thought that popped into my head was, ‘what the hell am I going to do with $200,000?’.
“Wow, it’s amazing! I never thought that would be a question that I’d be thinking about.
“I really need to let the news sink in!
“I will definitely do something special to celebrate this afternoon, but I am not quite sure what that will be.
“I have had a bit of a rough day, so this has really cheered me up.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the elated Darling Downs winner said he would spend the afternoon dreaming up ideas.
“I might go on a few little holidays,” he declared.
“Maybe I will book something for this weekend as a bit of a celebration!
“The rest I will use for my retirement.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Campbells News & Casket, 244 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba.
Campbells News & Casket owner Dianne Stevenson said she was celebrating this exciting milestone.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.24 million for draw 1536, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $5.83 million for draw 10467.
In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by an Ermington woman who a Mega Jackpot prize of $11.73 million in January.
