A Toowoomba mum is trying to decide whether she should go back to work after discovering she's a newly-minted Lotto millionaire during her lunch break.
The Darling Downs resident held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4197, drawn Saturday 9 October 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,234,425.81.
So far in 2021, there have been five division one wins in the Darling Downs region, collectively worth more than $5.3 million.
When an official from The Lott called the hard-working woman this morning, she had absolutely no idea her life had changed forever.
“Oh my god! Oh my god! I had no clue,” she happily yelled.
“I’m speechless. I’ve won over a million dollars? I’ve won that much? You’re joking?
“I started work early this morning and only just went on my lunch break. I noticed I had few missed calls. I was a bit confused!
“It’s going to be hard to think straight for the rest of the day! This is absolutely life changing.
“I’m not sure how I’ll break the news to my family. I’ll have to have a big think.
“You’ve not only made my day, but my whole life.”
When asked how she might spend her good fortune, the euphoric woman was too mind-boggled to make any concrete plans.
“I can’t believe it. I’m too shocked to think right now,” she exclaimed.
“I know this will help my family and I in significant ways.
“This is fantastic. Thank you.”
