Fifteen Bundoora players have begun discovering their TattsLotto store syndicate, called Big Bonanza, snared a $2.5 million division one prize on the weekend.

In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s System 7 entry also scored division two 6 times, division five 3 times and division six 13 times, boosting the syndicate’s total prize to $2,559,825.20.

Bundoora Centre Newsagency owner Michael Mertzanidis said he was relishing his outlet’s latest division one win.

“We’ve had about 25 division one wins in 24 years, and our last five division one wins have been syndicates. We have great customers who love syndicates and we seem to have a bit of success,” he said.

“When a syndicate wins, it’s great to see so many people so happy. As corny as it sounds, it does change people’s lives.

“I’ve already spoken to some of the regulars in the syndicate and it’s such a bright light in their lives given what everyone’s had to go through for the past two years.

“They’re almost in tears. They’re just so happy. Some have home renovations plans, while others are paying off a few bills and getting ahead.

“I love it when a syndicate wins!”
