A Yeppoon woman has had the shock of her life this morning after the numbers she’s been playing for the past two years scored her $20,000 a month for the next 20 years in Set for Life.
The Queensland resident held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 3233, drawn Wednesday 12 June 2024 and can look forward to a total division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in monthly instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
“Thank you! That’s unbelievable. That’s amazing!” she cheered.
“I can’t even think right now. I’m still in shock.
“I was at work this morning when I saw I had some missed calls and some strange text messages urging me to check my tickets.
“After I had a look at my online account, I went straight to my boss and said, ‘I have to go!’.
“I broke the news to my family as soon as I got home. Mum had the shakes and I think it’s safe to say I’m the favourite daughter now.
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for the past two years. I started with a QuickPick and I’ve always just replayed them. What a great choice!
“I’m going to have a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day.”
When asked how she planned to use her monthly bank account boost for the next 20 years, the gleeful woman shared she was too frazzled to make any immediate decisions.
“Honestly, I don’t know yet! I’m not even sure if I’ll continue working or not,” she said.
“If I do continue, I’ll certainly be taking a week off to go on a holiday!
“I’d love to buy a house that I can call my own and be with family.
“I’ll definitely have a good think about it. Thank you so much!”
The woman’s 5-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 3233 on Wednesday 12 June 2024 were 31, 5, 43, 9, 19,1 & 6, while the supplementary numbers were 29 and 3.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 3233 – one in Queensland.
This marks the 130th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the fifth Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 386 so far in FY24, including 90 won by Golden Casket customers.
In 2023, there were 18 Set for Life division one winners across Australia who will receive $86.4 million during the next 20 years.
By 31 December 2023, more than $116.18 million in monthly payments of $20,000 had been paid to the 125 Set for Life division one winners across Australia.
