A western Sydney man is dreaming of escaping on the ultimate surfing holiday, after winning $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1217, drawn Friday 8 February 2019. The winning entry also won a consolation prize of $1,000, boosting his total win to $201,000.
The man was on a long weekend getaway when he received the exciting phone call and was initially in disbelief.
“$201,000?” he questioned.
“You’ve made my day, thank you very much.
“I’m shaking a bit. I’m very surprised.
“I’m so happy!”
The winner revealed this wasn’t the first time he’d received a phone call like this.
“I have won the lottery before but it was with eight other people. We shared in a syndicate,” he explained.
“I won about $100,000. This is twice as good, especially because it’s all mine!
“I might have a holiday and move out of where I’m living.
“I’d love to go somewhere in the sun, somewhere I can surf.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of three consecutive numbers at Nextra Castle Towers, Shop 268, Castle Towers, 6-14 Castle Street, Castle Hill.
Nextra Castle Towers manager Marion Mitchell said she was thrilled to have sold a 1st Prize winning entry to one of her customers
“How exciting for us!” she exclaimed.
“We are so happy for the customer and our store. We hope he enjoys his prize!
“We would love for him to come in so we can congratulate him in person.
“We have sold over 10 major prizes in the past!
“The owner believes we are a lucky store, so hopefully he’s right and we keep selling more big prizes to our customers!
“We have had so many customers come in lately because of the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot soaring to over $40 million! We would love to sell that prize to a customer.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $41.08 million for draw 1218 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.23 million for draw 10271.
