An Adelaide Hills man has declared the life-changing news he is now nearly $400,000 richer from winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw ‘unbelievable’.
The thrilled winner held one of the ten division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 3989, drawn Saturday 12 October 2019. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $382,311.53.
Sharing his joy with a SA Lotteries official this morning, the winner confessed his initial skepticism.
“Ha ha ha! Wow! Thank you so much! That’s unbelievable!” he exclaimed.
“I honestly thought you were one of my friends taking the piss out of me when you first called but oh my god, I can see it on the app. Thank you so much.
“Oh my gosh, it’s just unbelievable.
“I’ve won a few smaller amounts in the past, like a thousand dollars here and there but I’ve never won anything like this before.
“It is just amazing. Thank you so much.
“It’s just come at a good time for my family. We needed some good news this year. It’s just unbelievable! Thank you so much!”.
When asked how he planned to enjoy his Saturday X Lotto windfall, the loving dad declared he had his sights set on a relaxing holiday.
“I’ll definitely head off on a holiday with my daughter,” he said.
“It will be good for us to get away and have a break after a tough year.
“I want to share it with my family as well. It will be nice to be able to help them out.
“It ends all of my money worries in my retirement so thank you so much!”
The over-joyed winner also revealed he planned on celebrating the win once it landed in his bank account.
“I’m not certain what I’ll do just yet, but I’ll definitely be celebrating when I see the money land in my bank account,” he said.
“You have to celebrate these things. It’s such a life-changing moment you must mark it somehow.
“People say you never win, but I’ve always said you never know. Never say never!
“It’s the luck of the draw isn’t it? Oh my gosh, today that luck is mine!”
