A North Rothbury man is looking forward to easing into retirement after winning the $100,000 1st Prize in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The happy man won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10322, drawn Monday 14 October 2019.
As well as winning the guaranteed 1st Prize, the elated winner also won a consolation prize of $1,000, boosting his total bounty to $101,000.
When a NSW Lotteries official contacted the winner this morning to confirm the news, he confessed he was oblivious to his windfall.
“I couldn’t believe it! I looked at the results on my app and it told me I had won!” he exclaimed.
“It was a very good feeling indeed when I realised the prize.
“I usually buy a few numbers every week but don’t always check my tickets which is why it took me a few days to realise I had won.
“It wasn’t until I had it confirmed at the local store that it started to sink in!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his $101,000 prize, the happy man confessed it would ease his mind in retirement.
“I’ll probably put most of it into my super,” he revealed.
“Retirement is only a few years away for me now so it will be good to know I’ve got that nest egg.
“I don’t have anything planned for my retirement just yet except enjoying working on my property and relaxing.
“I might buy myself a new car before then though. I haven’t really thought about it!”
The happy winner purchased his winning entry of five consecutive numbers at Branxton Newsagency, 43 Maitland St, Branxton.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.68 million draw 1455 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $5.7 million for draw 10325.
