A newly-retired man from Wallsend is ready for the festive season after winning the 1st Prize of $100,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The Newcastle man won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10255, drawn on Thursday 8 November 2018.
When speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the happy retiree shared the win had come at the perfect time.
“That’s beautiful, just lovely,” he said happily.
“I’ve only just retired, so it’s come at a great time.
“A friend of mine won a large prize last week, so we both have had great wins.
“I was with her when she won, so now I know how it feels.
“I think her luck rubbed off on me!
“I swear I have been waiting for a win like this for a long time. I am glad it’s finally happened!”
When asked how he planned to spend his windfall, the Wallsend man said it would mean he and his wife could happily enjoy retirement together.
“My wife will be able to retire now too,” he said gleefully.
“We are going to help out our kids too and spoil the grandkids!
“It will certainly make for a better Christmas! It’ll be very handy.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $25.96 million for draw 1155 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.28 million for draw 10256.
