Warrnambool’s mystery millionaire has come forward to claim their $1 million Monday TattsLotto division one prize – seven days after the draw.

The winner held one of the three division one winning entries across Australia in Monday TattsLotto draw 3796 drawn Monday 3 September 2018. Each entry took home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

The division one winning entry was not registered to a Tatts Card so Tatts officials had no way of contacting the winner with the dream-come-true news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

How the mystery winner plans to spend their TattsLotto windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

From overseas holidays to new cars, Tatts spokesperson Bronnie Spencer said division one winners often shared their winnings with those loved ones at the top of their Lotto List.

“Many winners tell us they use their TattsLotto windfall to help their friends and family who are nearest and dearest to them,” she said.

“From paying off their adult kids mortgages to buying their best friends a new ute and taking their whole family on an overseas holiday, TattsLotto players have told us a variety of ways that they share their windfall.

“Who knows precisely what our Warranambool winner will do, but I’m sure they are happily planning now."

The winning entry was sold at Norfolk Lotto, Shop 4-5 Norfolk Plaza, 743 Raglan Parade, Warrnambool.

William Welsh, owner of Norfolk Lotto, said he was thrilled the winner had come forward to claim their prize.

“It’s been a busy week in store as we’ve encouraged everyone to check their tickets!” he said.

“It is the eighth division one winning entry the store has sold so we are thrilled.

“We are looking forward to selling the next one!”

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday TattsLotto and Saturday TattsLotto have created 132 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday TattsLotto draw 3796 on Monday 3 September 2018 were 6, 17, 11, 33, 28 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 24 and 37.
