A Wattle Grove man has ridden a rollercoaster of emotions as he grappled with the news he was a division one winner in April Fool’s Day’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales resident held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4351, drawn Saturday 1 April 2023. His winning entry scored a total prize of $775,265.76.
“Stop it, mate! This is a prank, isn’t it? You’re scaring me!” he yelled when an official from The Lott called to confirm his windfall.
“Nope! No, no, no. I still don’t believe you!
“Oh my god, please don’t do this to me. I’m tripping out, mate! This is real?!
“It’s not registering right now. It’s unbelievable. I just can’t get the idea that I’m going to be mortgage free out of my head.
“Tell you what, my blood pressure is going to be through the roof today! No way I’m sleeping tonight.
“This is life-changing! I’m going to be debt free and be able to prepare my family for a different future.
“Can I leave work? I need to chill out.
“Thank you so much. I’m blown away.”
The winning 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4351 on 1 April 2023 were 10, 39, 36, 25, 45 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 40 and 8.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4351 – Four in Victoria and one each in Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania.
