A Wellington Point man has no doubt plenty of fishing will keep him happily occupied if he decides to use his Saturday Gold Lotto windfall to retire much earlier than expected.
The south-east Queenslander held one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4181, drawn Saturday 28 August 2021. Each division one winning entry took home $1,247,527.15.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott this morning, the happy man was still struggling to believe his good fortune.
“That’s amazing,” he laughed.
“That is absolutely amazing!
“I’m shaking. I checked my emails last night and saw it.
“I couldn’t believe it.
“I’m at work at the moment. It’s certainly going to be tough to finish the day here.
“My boss is looking at me at the moment. He’s probably wondering what’s going on!”
With more than $1 million about to hit his bank account, it didn’t take long for the winner to come up with a few ways he’d enjoy his prize.
“I’m probably going to invest in some real estate,” he said.
“I might keep working for now but then I don’t know, maybe I won’t.
“If I do quit work, I’d have to do plenty of fishing to keep me busy!”

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4185 on 28 August 2021 were 17, 30, 22, 23, 19 and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 43 and 32.
