A Brighton man’s Monday lunch break has been interrupted with the best phone call imaginable, delivering him the news he’s kicked off the week as a millionaire.
The Redland City player held one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4183, drawn Saturday 21 August 2021. Each division one winning entry took home $1,304,946.92.
When an official from The Lott contacted the young dad this afternoon to break the news, he was on a break at work and oblivious to his win.
“Are you for real?” he began to question.
“I’ve won $1.3 million?
“Oh my gosh. I am shaking right now.
“This is awesome. I can’t believe it. I can’t stop shaking.
“I certainly wasn’t expecting your phone call. This is absolutely insane. I can’t wrap my head around it.
“I was already struggling to work today. I don’t know how I’m going to keep working for the rest of the day!”
With more than $1 million heading his way, the dutiful dad said he’d be able to set his family up for life.
“I’ve got a young family, so this will change things so much,” he explained.
“We’ve always rented, and now we will finally be able to buy a house.
“My wife is not going to believe me when I call her and tell her this.
“Thank you so much!”
His life-changing entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4183 on Saturday 21 August 2021 were 40, 34, 43, 35, 6 and 19, while the supplementary numbers were 45 and 22.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4183 – three from Queensland and one each from South Australia and the Northern Territory.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 294 so far this calendar year, including 72 won by Golden Casket customers.
