A Wentworthville man’s regular Tuesday in the office has turned into a $200,000 payday, after discovering he won the guaranteed 1st Prize in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1192, drawn Monday 7 January 2019, taking home $200,000.
Confirming his unexpected win with a NSW Lotteries official today, the man explained how he discovered the exciting news.
“Well, I normally head to my local newsagency to check my tickets, but when I went there the line was out the door,” he shared.
“I decided to head back to work and check my numbers online.
“It was the best discovery I’ve ever made sitting at my desk!”
The man revealed he has been playing Lucky Lotteries regularly for the last three months, watching the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot soar.
“I’ll be putting this towards my mortgage and treating myself to a holiday!” he exclaimed.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of three random numbers at Darcy Road Newsagency, Shop 2, 39 Darcy Road, Wentworthville.
Darcy Road Newsagency owner Paresha Desai said she was thrilled for her customer.
“We were so excited when we realised we had sold a 1st Prize winning entry,” she said.
“We love sharing the excitement with our fantastic customers.
“We’ve had a winning few months in store, selling a Saturday Lotto division one winning entry in September, that customer won more than $1.7 million, and now this!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $35.32 million for draw 1194 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.45 million for draw 10265.
