Five days after the draw, the Werribee shopper Tatts officials have been searching for has come forward to claim their TattsLotto division one prize.
The happy winner held one of the eight division one winning entries across Australia in last Saturday’s TattsLotto draw 3857 on 7 July 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $503,668.42.
As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the winner’s System 7 marked entry also won division three six times, bolstering their total prize to $509,469.82.
The winning entry was not registered to a Tatts Card, which meant Tatts officials had no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news and had to wait for them to come forward to confirm the prize.
However how the winner plans to spend their TattsLotto windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Werribee Authorised Newsagency, 16 Station Street, Werribee.
Hayley Murphy, manager of Werribee Authorised Newsagency, said the win had created a buzz in store.
“We put a big sign on our window saying we had sold a division one winning entry and it has created a fantastic atmosphere,” she said.
“Everyone has been talking about it and we’ve had lots of customers in store asking questions and checking their tickets.
“The atmosphere in here is fantastic. The staff are so bubby and excited to have sold a division one winning entry as we haven’t sold one in a while.
“We’ve sold a few division one winning entries in the past but I would say it has been about six years since the last one. This one has definitely broken the drought and we are so pleased our store has sold one.
“We wish the customer all the best win their prize!”
The six winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3857 on Saturday 7 July 2018 were 29, 1, 6, 43, 23 and 18. The supplementary numbers were 3 and 35.
Across Australia there were eight division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3857 – five from Victoria and one each from New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 209 so far this calendar year, including 87 won by Tatts customers.
Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning TattsLotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $341.27 million.
