It’s not just the extra digits in their bank account that would put a smile on their dial, Aussie lottery players have revealed exactly how a big win would make them happy.
Ahead of tomorrow night’s final Saturday Lotto $20 Million Superdraw for 2019, a survey conducted by the Lott asked players what would bring them the most happiness if they won division one.
The overwhelming majority of players (71%) revealed there’d be no nicer feeling than being able to share their division one windfall with their nearest and dearest.
Just under half (45%) would relish the financial freedom a big win would give them, while nothing could beat donating to charity for 34% of those surveyed.
The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said players also shared the first lifestyle change they’d make if they won division one on Saturday night.
“Sixty-three percent of players said seeing more of the world would be on the top of their list, while 55% said spending more time with family would be the ultimate lifestyle change,” she explained.
“Others would use their financial freedom to focus more on health and fitness or pursue a hobby they’ve always wanted to explore.
“For a group of players across the country, after this weekend’s Superdraw, they will be able to make the lifestyle changes they’ve been dreaming of when they win division one.”
So far this year, 48 entries have matched the life-changing numbers pulled from the barrel in the past five Saturday Lotto Superdraws, creating 42 new millionaires across the country.
2019 has been a supercharged year for Victorian Superdraw players, with the state holding 19 winning Superdraw entries, more than a third of all the wins nationally.
New South Wales and the ACT have enjoyed nine division one Superdraw wins, while Queensland has celebrated eight.
Western Australia has snagged seven Superdraw division one wins, the Northern Territory and South Australia have enjoyed two each, while one division one Superdraw win has landed in Tasmania.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 193 millionaires across Australia.
The Saturday Lotto $20 Million Superdraw, Saturday Lotto draw 3995, will take place on Saturday 2 November 2019.
