Hundreds of Saturday Lotto Superdraw winners finished last financial year counting their division one dollars, but who will kick off the new financial year with Superdraw success?
Ahead of this weekend’s Saturday Lotto $20 million Superdraw, the Lott has delved into last financial year’s data and unearthed the Superdraw division one winning states of the past 12 months.
From 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020, Saturday Lotto served up six Superdraws, offering players across the country the chance to share in $20 million for each special event draw.
In the last financial year, a massive 79 Superdraw entries across the country held the six winning numbers needed to take home division one. Together these entries shared $120 million in division one prize money.
The total number of division one winners hit 340 for last financial year’s Superdraws, including individual winners and members of various syndicates who shared their division one loot.
The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said Victoria had the most Superdraw success, welcoming more division one winning entries than anywhere else in Australia (table 1).
“In the last financial year, we saw Victorian players hold 29 of the 79 winning Superdraw entries, far more than any other state,” she said.
“New South Wales players came in second, snapping up 16 division one wins, while Western Australia took home 13 division one prizes and the Sunshine State snagged 10 during the 12 months.”

Forty-five people can also now call themselves millionaires across Australia, thanks to last financial year’s six Superdraws (table 2).
“Thirteen Victorians woke up on a Sunday to discover they’d become overnight millionaires,” she said.
“The millionaire count was also substantial in New South Wales, with ten millionaires created thanks to Saturday Lotto’s Superdraws.
“Nine were created in Western Australia, while five millionaires were crowned each in Queensland and South Australia.
“Only time will tell where our next group of Superdraw division one winners will land but if you do want a chance you do need an entry.
“For anyone buying an entry, I recommend that you register your entry to a player card. This means your prize is secure and I can give you a call with the life-changing news if you’re holding a division one winning entry.”
