A Winston Hills man has had a long weekend to remember after discovering he is now $200,000 richer after scoring 1st Prize in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1338, drawn Tuesday 4 June 2019.
Sharing his excitement with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the winner explained why it took him nearly a week to discover the life-changing news.
“I only checked my ticket yesterday!” he exclaimed.
“I bought it over a week ago but every time I left the house I kept leaving it at home.
“It wasn’t until I finally remembered to take it with me yesterday when I was doing the groceries that I checked it and discovered I had won!”
When asked how the happy winner planned to celebrate the windfall he confessed he was waiting to revel in his win.
“I won’t be able to celebrate until I see the money in my bank account!” he laughed.
“Maybe then I’ll do something fun!”
The winner also revealed he knew exactly how he planned to spend his prize.
“Well I’ve got a house so this will go a long way to paying off that!” he declared.
“Hopefully save myself paying a lot of interest in the long run!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry of 2 random numbers at Winston Hills Newsagency, Shop 3, Winston Hills Mall, 180 Caroline Chisholm Drive, Winston Hills.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $71.80 million for draw 1346 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.54 million for draw 10293.
