A Wollondilly tradie is planning a holiday of a lifetime after discovering he won $200,000 in one of last week’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draws.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1327, drawn Monday 27 May 2019.
Confirming his win with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the man revealed he’d been oblivious to the fact he’s been $200,000 richer for the last week.
“Wow! Thank you!” he laughed.
“Only a few minutes ago the lady at the newsagency put my ticket through the machine and said that she thought I’d won a major prize.
“I had no idea I’d won the 1st Prize. I don’t play very often at all, I just thought I’d give it a go and hope for the best! So I’ve done very well.
“I think I need to sit down and take all of this in!”
The winner said he’d enjoy every moment of his unexpected windfall.
“I’ll probably pay off the home loan now, which is such a nice feeling to be able to do that. I think that’s what everyone dreams of one day,” he said.
“It will really take the pressure off.
“There’s going to be a holiday in there for sure as well! I’d love to go to the Maldives!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Narellan Newsagency Kiosk, K204 Narellan Town Centre, 326 Camden Valley Way, Narellan.
Narellan Newsagency Kiosk owner David Thomsen said the team was excited to have sold their first 1st Prize winning entry.
“We’ve sold plenty of major prizes at our other stores so it’s great to have now sold one at this outlet as well,” he said.
“It’s fantastic to see this prize go to a local and we hope he really enjoys his windfall!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $70.36 million for draw 1340 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.41 million for draw 10292.
